A special visit full of encounters and new perspectives

After more than ten years, the time had finally come again: Our headmaster and long-time colleague Ben from Ghana visited Germany. His three-week stay in October 2026 was marked by moving encounters, inspiring conversations, and new perspectives for future cooperation between Ghana and Germany.

In addition to reuniting with long-time supporters, the focus was particularly on the exchange with educational institutions in Hamburg and Kiel, the deepening of existing partnerships and the development of new cooperation opportunities.

To this end, we organized various meetings and discussions and established new contacts in order to further strengthen the educational work of the association with German schools, universities, institutions, companies and civil society organizations.

A special experience at the Arnkielstraße Elementary School charity run

A highlight of his visit was participating in the charity run at the Arnkielstraße primary school in Hamburg-Altona. For Ben, it was a very special experience to personally cheer on the children and motivate them to run as many laps as possible for the good cause. Basti and Tommy also cheered enthusiastically.

For many years, the students have been passionately involved in our educational projects in Ghana. It was all the more wonderful that Ben was now able to witness this commitment firsthand. Seeing the enthusiasm with which the children ran and learning personally why they are committed to helping other children on another continent was a great gift for him.
