New contacts with Hamburg's business community: Exchange with the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce

Networking with Hamburg's business community was also an important part of the initiatives launched by Thomas in connection with Ben's visit.

In this context, Thomas contacted the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce to explore ways of connecting our educational projects in Ghana with companies that are already active on the African continent or would like to become involved there. The positive feedback from the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce's International Markets and Foreign Trade Promotion department was particularly gratifying.

It was on the Regional group Africa Thomas was made aware of a network of approximately 40 member companies that already maintain business relationships with African countries or are planning such activities. He was warmly invited to attend one of the upcoming meetings and take the opportunity to make new contacts. He was also offered the chance to be added to the regional group's mailing list.

Even though a personal conversation was no longer possible during Ben's visit in October due to scheduling conflicts, this contact represents an important starting point for future discussions.

We are particularly interested in the question of how entrepreneurial commitment, social responsibility, and sustainable education can be meaningfully combined. Our association's many years of practical work in Ghana offer numerous points of connection in this regard.

We are very pleased about this new opportunity to present our work to a wider network and to develop perspectives for long-term support and cooperation together with interested companies.
