Pen friendships between Germany and Ghana
Behind the slogan "Strangers become friends" is the intercultural project of two of our project partners who are pursuing a wonderful goal together. In the children's house of ARCHE Jenfeld, children have started writing letters in English for students of the "Beneficial" school in the heartland of West Africa. These individual texts will be delivered to the children in Ghana in early April and more...the Ghanaian children will respond directly and engage in written dialogue. Letters will be written in which a (still) stranger, whom the other person has never heard of, writes about himself and life, about worries and hopes. The starting signal was given in Jenfeld with children from Togo, Russia, Syria and Ghana, among others. The 1st chairman of Beneficial e.V. Thomas Jenckel (left) and Arche site manager Vera Rempel (right) accompanied the project as helpers.
