Voluntary Service

Voluntary service or the interest in internships at schools abroad is a big topic among recent high school graduates and students. In the past, Thomas has been in Ghana with the organisation Praktikawelten, which gives young people a relaxed and content-wise valuable time on site. The so-called volunteers go to individual projects (mainly schools) and try to help there. In order to ensure that they do not only provide distraction, they must also be informed about the current learning status and, above all, be involved. We make this possible by weekly reports from our teachers (class books - not used in Ghanaian schools so far) and the inspection of our teaching material when the volunteers arrive on site. They also help us to be an individual help to individual students who may not be able to keep up with the rest of the class.
