We, Thomas Jenckel from Hamburg and Bastian Br\u00fcck from D\u00fcsseldorf, founded the association "Beneficial" in 2014. This resulted from a friendship that began in 2012 and our first joint visit to Ghana in March 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thomas had already been to Ghana several times in previous years and had met Ben (see the "ABOUT US" section - Ben), who already runs his own school. When we were there together in March 2014, he offered to be our host and take us in for the duration of our stay in Ghana. He offered us a plot of land belonging to his family, which we wanted to use to build a school. Although education in Ghana is free, the country's financial resources are unfortunately limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And so we decided to build a school there. We both fell in love with the country and its people on our very first visit, because you can find beauty in the land and warmth among the people everywhere!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir, das sind Thomas Jenckel aus Hamburg und Bastian Br\u00fcck aus D\u00fcsseldorf, haben im Jahre 2014 den Verein \u201eBeneficial\u201c gegr\u00fcndet. Das resultierte aus einer Freundschaft seit 2012 und dem ersten gemeinsamen Ghana-Besuch im M\u00e4rz 2014. Thomas war bereits in den vorherigen Jahren mehrere Male in Ghana gewesen und hatte dabei unter anderem Ben (Rubrik \u201e\u00dcBER UNS\u201c-Ben) kennen gelernt, der bereits eine eigene Schule leitet. Als wir im M\u00e4rz 2014 gemeinsam dort waren, hat er sich angeboten, unser Gastvater zu sein und uns f\u00fcr die Zeit unseres Ghana-Aufenthalts dort aufzunehmen. Dabei wurde uns ein seiner Familie geh\u00f6rendes Grundst\u00fcck angeboten, dass wir gerne nutzen wollten, um dort eine Schule zu bauen. Zwar ist Bildung in Ghana \u201efor free\u201c, aber die finanziellen M\u00f6glichkeiten des Landes sind leider beschr\u00e4nkt. Und so haben wir uns dazu entschlossen, dort eine Schule zu bauen.
